What Causes Red Bump In Public Area?

Hi doctors I was wondering if you can help me out I have one little red bump in the pubic area and was wondering what it could be and am very worried. It is a pimple like bump right above the pubic area and doesn t hurt or itch or anything but it s definitely noticeable. If anyone could help me out with this it would be very helpful. Thanks

It is possible that the lesion seen may be folliculitis which is inflammation/infection of a hair follicle.

To confirm this, your doctor would need to examine you.

In some cases, they resolve on their own. If this does not occur then the application of a topical antibiotic and cleaning with a topical anti septic would be enough.
