What Causes Red Bruising On The Back Of The Thigh Upon Waxing?

yesterday I was diagnosed with possible shingles on the back of the upper left thigh. I don t have pain but its red and there is no vesicles or pus pockets. On June 9th I had waxing done on both legs from the bikini line to the toes. I really believe that it is not shingles. Ever since the waxing my legs have not felt the same. When i get goose bumps my legs are tender. it is really strange. what could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello thank you for writing us here.
Obviously its not shingles because is very painful and associated with fever.
Possibly, its a rash. Waxing and going out in sun could cause this rash.
I would suggest you to put ice on it. No need for unnecessary medicines.
It would be alright in a week or so.
God bless you.

Best regards,
Dr Gunjan
