What Causes Recurring Uti And High Creatinine Levels?
I have Sarcoidosis from 2009. My body produces high levels of calcium. I since have had stents on both sides and a bi-lateral lazer blast treatment. Now two months later I am still getting reoccurring UTIs and now my Creatine went up to a 5 stayed in the hopsital got it down to 3.2. Now it goes up and down to 3.6 to 4 and now I am 4.09 as of yesterday. I am drinking water. Is it my sarcoidosis affecting my kidneys? Is so what test do I need to take? Most of all what kind of physician I need to see? Do you know of any one in the Virginia Hampton Roads area?
Dear-thanks for using our service. Sarcoidosis is a systemic disease that is characterized for increased calcium levels,This elevation in Calcium can cause kidney problems, having a higher risk of kidney stone due to the accumulation of calcium in the body. You have renal insufficiency probably from the calcium levels and it can give you higher risk of dehydration, bringing the creatinine to higher levels. You should be under the care of nephrologist for your renal insufficiency and rheumatoogist for your sarcoidosis. If you have changes of sarcoidosis in the lungs, then pulmonary doctor should be involved too.It is important to follow up a kidney diet . I hope that my advise has been helpful Dr.JC
