Hi there...few women do have altered bowel function after hysterectomy. Either it is the affect of the anaesthesia that bowel movement will take time to recover since your surgery was performed recently . Or its because now your bowel has more space and its falling forwards occupying the place where your uterus used to be. Mild pelvic floor exercises should help tone your abdomen and get your bowel back to normal. pain medicines lead to constipation. so, drink lots of water... have a rich fibre diet, cereals, vegetables, green leafy... eat moderate at night two hours before bedtime. So do not worry, take meftalspas only s long as you have spasm. Otherwise avoid.... move out and walk short walks, movement and activity too is essential. take care
