What Causes Recurring Sore Throat With Mucus Accumulation?

I gave oral sex and two days later had a fever that lasted two days... following the fever i had a sore throat which went away but has been coming back on and off for 3 months now i ve also had constant mucus in my throat everyday.. i ve been tested for strep, chlamydia/gonnorhea all negative and i seen the ENT who did not see anything wrong.. i m really worried

The symptoms you are experiencing is suggestive of herpes infection of the throat as a result of oral sex. ENT examination and measurement of blood antibody levels can confirm the diagnosis. Once confirmed treatment with anti-viral like valacyclovir needs to be initiated.
