What Causes Recurring Severe Headache?

I was wondering if my husband needs to set up an appointment with a Neurologist. He has had unusual headaches in the past week. Three times - sharp pain in the back of his head and today back and right side of his head (after sex). I m concerned because it has now happened within days of the other. About 4 years ago we were at a restaurant and he had a alcohol drink, that night he had such a bad headache that I took him to er (he was vomiting uncontrollably). They didn t find anything. Also, his sleep pattern is not good. Wakes up 5 times or more during the night. I don t know if any of this relates to anything, so I m asking for guidance. Thank you

Dear
I am sorry for the symptoms your husband is suffering
I read your query and understand your consern
I don't see reason to worry too much as your husband is only suffering from headache and no other neurologic deficits
Anyway I would be wise to contact your neurologist because neurologic exam will determinate if we are in front of migraine attacks or vascular events
Hope my answer will help you in fast diagnosing of your husband
Regards
