What Causes Recurring Itchy Rashes On Vaginal Area?

I have recurring vulvar rash and itching. I have not been on antibiotics or ever suffered from yeasdt infections. I am 66 years old, 5 6 tall and weigh 155 lbs. And generally in excellent health. I take no regular meds. I eat Greek yogurt daily. I have no alergies. I wear cotton lined underware. I have been using an over the counter vulvar itching cream that does not seem to be working. Any suggestions?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. What is the type of rash you getting? If its rashes with small fluid filled ones, then genital herpes should be ruled out. If that is clear then it can be a fungal infection or irritation due to lack of estrogen. A local examination with a gynecologist and swabs will be needed to rule out the condition. In case of fungal infection anti fungals like clotrimazole will be helpful. If it is due to lack of estrogen then estradiol cream for local application will be helpful. Hope this may help you.
Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
