What Causes Recurring Episodes Of Numbness In Face?

I have chin, lower lip, full right side facial numbness and partial left side facial numbness. When I have the numbness it makes me rub my chin /face - it s irritating. I stretch my mouth open to try to get the nubmness to go away. It started a few months back but in the last 4-6 weeks has increased in weekly episodes. However, this week not only has the frequency increased but the duration of each episode. Today s has been on going for the last hour. I have not loss any motor function of my face. I am fatigued, and difficulty concentrating . I m 46 years old female. I have DM II (meds), hypothyroidism (meds). My DM is controlled with oral meds and diet.
