What Causes Recurring Episodes Of Bloody Diarrhea?
Two years ago I had an episode of bloody diahrrea, My doctor referred me for a colonoscopy. Nothing was found to be medically wrong..Today I had another episode of bloody diahrrea what could cause this to occur two years later again. I had 3 bowel movement very close together . Bloddy discharge was bright red every time.
You may require thoroughly clinical examination with proctoscopy as your colonoscopy came normal,so you must need to rule out to be having any inflammatory bowel disease.
You may require antibiotics (quinolones-ofloxacin with antiprotozoals- metronidazole/ornidazole),anti-inflammatory with steroids and antihistamines to prevent bleeding (if it is coming from anus) otherwise treatment is mainly depend on the underlying cause.
Consult gastroentrologist for further advise and treatment.
Thanks and Regards,

What Causes Recurring Episodes Of Bloody Diarrhea?
Hi, Welcome to healthcare magic, Bright red colour recurrent stools could be indicative of bleeding from the distal/terminal portion of GIT i.e. from large intestine to anus. In your case, these causes must be ruled out like large bowel obstruction, inflammatory bowel disease like chron s disease or ulcerative colitis, intussuception etc. You may require thoroughly clinical examination with proctoscopy as your colonoscopy came normal,so you must need to rule out to be having any inflammatory bowel disease.
