What Causes Recurring Cough And Cold In An Infant?

hi doctor i am shraddha i have a 19 month baby boy he face always cough and cold problem please give me solution ...i given him recofast syrup 2.5 ml and ambrolite syrup 2.5 ml its temporary relief then after 4-5 day again faced cough problem i don't no how it solve please give me solution .. i waiting for your mail

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your infant have symptoms of recurring cough and cold which is due to chest infection and it could be due to throat infection as well. Need not to worry. Avoid giving child any cold carbonated beverages. Avoid giving any outside food to child. I would suggest you to visit pediatrician once and get it examined completely like throat swab test a, blood test and get X-ray chest done. Start treatment after proper examination. Start treatment after proper diagnosis is made out. Till then take proper course of antibiotics to you. Take steam inhalation , which will be very helpful .
