What Causes Recurring Abdominal Pain, Semi Solid Stools And Fever?
Hi Dr! My name is Shalabh. On 25th Jun night, I had slight pain in stomach, followed by a (semi-normal) motion. By 26th morning, i had fever of 101F, accompanied by stomach pain. The pain increased while passing (semi-normal) motion. The fever subsided the next day. Now, after 7 days from then, I again had stomach pain, (semi-normal) motion and fever on 4th July. I have started taking metrogyl, one on 4th and one on 5th. The pain still continues. All along, the frequency of motion has been 1-2/day only. Shall i take anti-biotic now.

These symptoms ca happen because of gastroentritis or typhoid.I would like to ask ,do you get any abdominal rashes or spots and have you had something in food outside home?
Symptometically you can take, tab paracetamol ,domperidone ,omerazole and drink lot of water.Antibiotics can be taken after getting stool test and blood culture done, and discussing with doctor .
