Dear lady,

Sorry to hear about your pain. Actually every time ovarian cyst burns, there is collection of fluid and blood in a sac called pouch of douglas which lies between uterus, rectum and urinary bladder. it is this fluid that causes irritation and leads to persistent pain. recurrence of the same again and again can lead to prolonged irritation of the sac and pain, which will take days to subside.

It is advisable that you take a course of hormones, like birth control pills or estrogen, for long term to prevent formation and rupture of these cysts and allow regular ovulation. but please meet a gynaecologist for this prescription.

Get well soon,
regards,
Dr. Sonia
