What Causes Recurrent Sore Throat And Fever?
I have had recurring sore throat since a few months, every alternate month since last feb or so.. I m asthamatic and on seroflo inhaler, floresp nasal spray and alerid d tablet.. Since 6-8 months. I took tablet dalacin c for 13 days for sore throat infection, towards the end of which throat pain/swelling/feverish feeling etc was increasing again and not reducing!! Now the doctor has given me pentids 800 thrice a day. I m confused if I should follow this treatment or not. There are so many pills I m already taking.. Not sure if I should start another strong antibiotic. Please advise.

dear sir. kindly meet an ENT surgeon to know the cause of sore throat. one possibility is it is always adviced to gargle after serflow inhaling, other possibility is tonsillitis. if u don gargle after seroflow with plain water, there are all the chances of throat infection. kindly do warm water gargle every day before u go to bed. other thing I want to advice is get a throat swab culture and sensitivity done. if it comes positive, u can ask the physician to choose appropriate antibiotic from the list if required. if culture is negative r only commensals, no need for antibiotics. thank u
