What Causes Recurrent Seizures?

I m a 36 year old female and recently started having seizures a few months ago. Before the seizures, I started having heavy periods. I was later diagnosed with uterine fibroids that are growing rapidly, the largest being over 12 cm. My uterus is expanded as well. Can the seizures and fibroids be related? Are there any underlying issues that can be causing these medical conditions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
generally there is no relation between fibroids and seizures except that you are not using excess oestrogen containing contraceptive pills..if you are using any hormonal therapy for your excessive bleeding along with antiseizure medication the hormonal therapy may not be effective... surgical correction is better at this point of time for your fibroids causing excessive bleeding if you are not planning late pregnancy ..
