What Causes Recurrent Seizures And Headache After Donating Plasma?

hi my name is stephen and i believed i had 2 seizures today...i donated plasma this morning and i felt normal. i was hydrated before i went in and hydr timeated after. i even went and got food after i was finish. when i got on the bus i fell asleep for what felt like hours but i was woken up by the people on the bus and they all said i was having a seizure. how can this happen ive never had seizures before and when they woke me up all i felt fine and responsive then it happened again and that i felt a huge headache

Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern.
Recurrent seizures after plasma donation is due to two reasons.
1. Dehydration
2. Hypocalcemia
Headache post seizures is because of postictal state.
I would like to advise you to take plenty of juices at least half litre. Put Cac 1000 plus in one glass of water and take it.
Do Serum electrolytes, serum calcium, renal function tests, CT Brain with contrast and EEG as recurrent seizures are not usual after donation of plasma.
