What Causes Recurrent Nasal Congestion?

Hi, first sorry for bad english, second, sorry for the lengh. The thing is, i have allergies ( i dont know to what, my no se in congested very often, but it is never the same way...some say it could be sinus infection, or the fungus that i have in my room walls caused by humidity but it happens when im not in home too), i noted that sometimes when i bend over - i think it may be caused because of beeing in really bad shape? im a little chubby- i got hiccups. My mother say it happens to me when im sleep too, but she is kinda traumatized about it. i do not have diabetes but i have high sugar levels.i do not have any kidney problems that i know.i do have my spine a little outwards, not like escoliosis (sidewards) but outwards. i had before, but not this year, some problems peeing or going to many times..no i do go many times but it seems normal and i drink a lot of water. also, there avery very few times ,but it happens, always at night and in my home that is a little bit harder to breath lying down, it usually goes away after a while, or if lay with my shoulder ON the -really tall - pillow, or if i breath on something like a bag. when i was a child i do had like a start but it went away too, of asthma... again, sorry for bad english and the organization...any thoughs?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your problem can be most likely due to laryngopharyngeal reflux and allergy to some thing you exposes like dust or cold. Taking proton pump inhibitors like Esomeprazole ( Nexium ) and combination of anti histamines like Levocetirizine and mast cell stabilizers like monteleukast for long term will be helpful to clear this.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything is not clear.

Thanks,
Dr. Nishad BN
