What Causes Recurrent Ganglion Cysts?

What causes ganglion cysts to continue to come back. Have had 2 surgically removed. 3 more came back, same area. Went away after a bout 4 months...were not to painful. Have 4 more coming back, this time, one has moved further up my arm above the wrist. This one is very painful. Is there anything I can do

As per your history is concerned let me clarify all your points step wise-:
1)You want to know why it is coming back again and again in my own opinion can you provide me two things in detail that is in which way it was carried out was it open or arthroscopic?and weather capsule has been removed as well as cyst or not?Ask your doctor and they will clarify it.
2)Ask your doctor had they done pathological examination of tissue or not?If done then what was the result of first cyst?
