What Causes Recurrent Fever With A Bump Inside Throat?

my husband had an unexplained fever last tuesday of 102.1 and then on thursday noticed a bump on his throat(maybe on tonsiils) then last night and today has a fever of 102 will break with aspirin then when aspirin wears off his fever comes back? Do you have any ideas what this might be

I am happy to answer on behalf of healthcaremagic, actually fever of 1 day is most likely due to viral infection and usually it is of sudden onset and high like your husband had 102.The bump you noted is most likely lymph node and that also get enlarged in viral infection.it will usually take a week time to resolve.avoid cold drinks and continue use of medicine for fever
