What Causes Recurrent Fever While On Losar For High BP?

My wife, 68- a RA patient for 22 years having both knee and one hip joint replaced- has HIGH BP and was taking Losar A twice daily about an year back. BP would be around 140/90. It was changed to Losar H once daily and later (recently) changed to Losar H twice daily. The BP was about 100/70. It was then changed to Losar H- one in the morning and half( broken) in the night. The BP is now 172/102. In the meanwhile she has been having fever , about 99.5 F during noon which becomes normal by night and also in the morning. She is taking Methatrexate 20 mg for RA. The fever remains during remissions of RA even. Please advise. Regards, VS Goindi

I really appreciate your concern, most of the time in this age group with some medical history and had gone under the surgery chances of infection is very likely, and if it is female patient then it could be urinary tract infection, and better to get dome test like routine blood test with urine analysis, till then fever can be controlled with "Tab Acetaminophen 500 mg" sos, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
