What Causes Recurrent Brown Vaginal Discharge?

I had brown discharge for 4 days. There is no way I could be pregnant because I am a virgin. About a week and a half later I am seeing brown discharge again. It just started today. Could I have an infection? What could this be? Also note that I was douching with water.I am 18 years old.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
First of all brown vaginal discharge mostly means that you are having your menstrual bleeding. It is not a sign of infection. Infection is suspected if vaginal discharge is awful in smell & is accompanied by vaginal itching.
Vaginal douching may also be reason of such discharge. Simply washing the vagina with warm water and mild soap is enough to keep clean & you should avoid douching.
Douching upsets the natural balance of bacteria in the vagina. These changes make the environment more favorable for the growth of bacteria & this cause infection.
