What Causes Recurrent Bouts Of Vomiting With Low Blood Pressure?

My 79 year old husband has had two episodes within two months of severe vomitting, no diarrhea, blood pressure drops extremely low, and has ended up in the emergency room dehydrated. Ct scans show no blockage. NG tubing with contrast barium didn t detect any blockage. What could be causing these episodes?

Hi,

Thanks for your query on Healthcare magic

I do understand your solicitousness

“As” per his clinical history is concerned he has two episodes of severe vomiting since last two months for which he has already been admitted at hospital due to dehydration so in my opinion let us check his stool to ruled out any worm infection present or not, if present integrate medication which will work for all worms. It is a common disorder. Do a capsule endoscopy which will show whole and your doctor can analyze full GI tract in detail. His low BP is due to dehydration.

Hope that is ample to draw a conclusion

Thanks

Hello Dear
I evaluated your query in depth .
@ According to the narration it relates to the issue related to certain food
intake , gastric motility or pH alterations most likely giving hyper acid
secretions and vomiting
@ Low blood pressure is obvious with severe vomiting due to fluid loss from
the body , even with electrolyte imbalances .
@ Certain guidelines to get better soon
# give plenty of liquids
# small amount of food at regular intervals
# maintain his BP , blood sugar , weight under control
# make him ambulatory till possible
# avoid all oily / beverages / spicy / non vegetarian
# avoid sleeping for at least 2 hours after breakfast
# avoid prolong fasting / over eating
# avoid stress & anxiety
# chew your food thoroughly
# in our clinic, we recommend certain anti-emetic , proton pump inhibitor
gastric motility related queries
Welcome for any further assistance .
