What Causes Rectal Bleeding With Uncontrolled Bowel Movement?

so basically last June I was in hospital because I had severe rectal bleeding. The rectal bleeding went on for Afew months, till about October. All through from before June and to know I ve had very very bad stomach pains, severe headaches,I ve felt really tired and not wanted to leave my bed,I can t get up sometimes and I feel dizzy quite a lot. Anyway so yesterday I passed wind and I went to the toilet for a wee and I looked in my knickers and there was very runny, dark coloured poo..and I was very confused because I didn t know I did it! So anyway,I whiled my bum and there was blood all over the tissue,I checked the front and it was definitely coming from the back bum. So like I was saying,I went to the toilet again later on and it had happened again!! Same old same old blood on my tissue and dark coloured poo in my pants. Once again I didn t know I did it. And it didn t happen again that night, then this morning it happened again and a few hours a go it happened. And I m still discharging poo without knowing about it! My stomach really hurts a lot, especially lower down,on my front, sides and lower down on my back. I just don t get it? I m hopefully going to the doctors tomorrow but what do you think it could be?

Hello,
1) Yes this is bleeding from intestine which react with enzymes and turn into maroon-brown colored.
2) Presence of blood increase bowel movement ad that is why you might have passed black colored stool frequently
3) You should go to ER rather than out-patient clinic for such bleeding episodes as it may look small episode of bleeding but actually it bled inside intestine and it might have enough blood loss to make you weaken, tired and lethargic
4) All your symptoms of dizziness, headaches, body aches were associated with bleeding episodes
5) First thing to be done is to stabilize your overall condition, i.e. after checking your hemoglobin level if require then transfuse blood, if you dehydrated then start IV fluids.
6) Once condition is stabilized then plan for colonoscopy (there is chance that doctor could not find any reason for bleeding due to loaded intestine with stool and blood clot). To avoid this possibility cleaning of bowel is advisable if overall general condition of patient is good (to avoid dehydration)
7) Most common causes for such bleeding episodes are diverticulitits, ulcer, tumor growth. And taking any medicines for thinning of blood (Aspirin) is aggravating factor to initiate such bleeding episodes
