What Causes Rectal Bleeding Post A Colonoscopy?

I had polyps removed during a screening colonoscopy 1 week ago. I am now bleeding quite a bit. Very loose stools and lots of gas. Bright red blood each time, some clots. I have heart trouble and have been on aspirin and blood thinner. Did not take any today as I started bleeding at noon. I feel like I am losing quite a bit of blood. Should I go to ER or wait until morning and call doctor?
