What Causes Rectal Bleeding After A Bowel Movement?

I have bleeding after a bowel movement. It stops after I apply tissue and keep it there for about five minutes. I don t have to have a hard bowel movement for this to happen. It happens all the time and I seem to have to have some secretions along with the blood. What could cause this?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Noted you are mentioning rectal bleeding all the time....
So here rectal or anal causes has to be ruled out....
Proctoscopy examination get to be done ..
For that consult surgeon...
It might reveal .....
-solitary rectal ulcer
-fissure
-hemorrhoids
-proctitis like common cause.....

According to cause treatment given...
Meanwhile avoid excess fatty and fried food.
Spicy food limited..
More water....

Examination also helpful if any mass present...
If growth is there then histopath examination done after biopsy to rule out adenocarcinoma like malignancy.

Take care...

Consult surgeon and get your examination done....
