What Causes Rashes On The Neck And Scalp?

I have had a mild rash for three to four weeks. It started on the back of my neck and in my scalp and has moved onto my torso. A few times it appeared on my face. It itches a little, not much unless I get sweaty. I have put Benadryl cream and Hydrocortisone cream on it with no noticeable effect. What could it be?

Hello
Thanks for the query.
Probably you have developed acute urticaria.
It is an allergic reaction.
You might be allergic to any food products or any clothing or any other products which you use.
I treat such cases with a topical steroid lotion like desonide to be applied over the involved area and an antihistamine tablet like benadryl which you are already taking.
Try to find out the cause as eliminating the causative agent is the definitive treatment.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thanks.
