34 year old daughter is experiencing what looks like bruising under the skin around her torso and is on her legs.has been getting worse . has had this condition for about 2 weeks.Has been tested positive for autoimmune desease .Has had a biopsy but the results aren t back yet.Just starting to get really concerned about it.Drs so far haven t given any answers or any diagnosis.....
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of rashes on the legs and torso which seems due to allergic reaction, side effect to certain medications and seborrheic dermatitis. It could be due to systemic condition and improper hygiene.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep the site clean and dry , apply over the counter antibiotics ointment. Avoid pricking bumps. Apply ice on these rashes. Take over the counter antihistamine like benadryl and protect it from sun ray exposure . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe corticosteroid ointment , antibiotics or immunosuppressants .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
