What Causes Rashes And Itching Around The Pubic Area?

I have bites all over my body, from head to the bottom of my feet. Going to doctor tomorrow.....but I have now have itching in the pubic area. I have tried many over otc meds and they only help for an hour or so. I first thought they were flea bites but speaking with an advice nurse today she thinks they are probably mite or tick bites. My question is, do bugs live in the pubic area. There is NO chance at all that I have the crabs unless I caught them in a public bathroom. Thanks.

as per your history, you may have insect/ flea bite reaction or pediculosis cruris/corporis or scabies.
I would suggest you to consult a dermatologist asap.
--as in now, you can take tab hydroxyzine 25 mg for severe itching.
permethrin cream(5%) or topical corticosteroids can be started only after consulting a dermatologist.
