I have rash in my face that started on my forehead as little bumps that spreads down the creases of my nose on the left side at first down to my chin. I have recently spread this rash by shaving with an electric razor unknowingly as it starts out with tiny bumps that burn and hurt as the rash progress. I have tried different creams and ointments and it is at the point of redness in the areas where the rash sits. any advice because I have been to a dermatologist and the meds that he prescribed only contained the rash briefly.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of rash on face due to use of electric razor which caused skin condition is known as irritant dermatitis which occurs due to local irritation to the razor you have used. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply mild corticosteroid like desonide and antibiotic like fusidic acid twice a day. You should take oral prednisolone as well. You should visit dermatologist once and get it examined. Start treatment after proper prescription. You should wash face with a gentle cleanser for face wash such as cetaphil cleansing lotion, twice daily. You should drink plenty of water. Avoid taking sharp and fried food. You should apply 1% pimecrolimus, 1% metronidazole gel.
