Herpes zoster can present with grouped fluid filled lesions on a single side of the body usually over a single dermatome. Oral antiviral tablets like Acyclovir should be started at the earliest to reduce the chances of developing post herpetic neuralgia. Pain killers like diclofenac may also be needed.Tablets containting pregabalin may also be started to reduce the neuropathy. Consult your dermatologist at the earliest to reduce the neuralgia.
