What Causes Radiating Pain In The Arm With Weakness?

My symptoms started three days ago... neck pain and pain going down my left shoulder and arm all the to my wrist. This morning the pain in my neck is much better but the pain in my arm is just as bad or worse. I have weakness in my left arm as well. Could this be a rotator cuff problem?

Hello,

This is not likely a rotator cuff problem. This is a problem in the neck where some discs are aging and squeezing the nerves that supply the arm.

An MRI of the cervical spine (neck) should show where the problem is and how bad things are. That will inform the kind of treatment you need.

Get well soon.
