What Causes Purple Rectal Discharge?

I am a 68 yr. old woman who is having an unusual discharge...it is a deep purple in color...different from anything I have had before. I am currently using a rectal suppository...and am wondering if it is possible that it could be causing this problem

Hello,
You must consult a surgeon for proper visualisation of rectum from inside by proctoscopy as it could be a sign of rectal cancer.
