What Causes Purple Bluish Color On Feet After Stroke?

My mom is 78 and had a stoke 12 yrs ago. She lost the use of her right arm and her speech was affected. I noticed today that her feet are a purple blueish color. She says they ve been like that for years. She takes cumidin and diabetic meds as well as cholesterol meds and a few others. Are the feet color a cause for concern? Thank you.

As per your explanation here I suggest you need to check on her sugar level regularly as well meet the diabetologist and do the required testing. If I am there I will check the sensation on both feet as well will also check on vascular it for both the feet as well as leg. This colour change could be related to diabetic neuropathy or her legs circulation is not happening proper. So check this with doctor and as per the advice go for dopler test to know the vascular it of lower limb.
But this can not be related to her past history of stroke. Hope this was helpful for you. Take care.
