What Causes Puffiness In Upper Eyelids?
Suddenly my upper eyelids are puffy all the time. Allergies? Kidneys? Infections? I can't figure it out. I've also been feeling sad and like crying a lot, over things I usually handle much better. Water retention? I'm 63 so I'm way past pre-period sad days. This has lasted a couple of weeks. I've been on Cephlex (?) for a suspected infection around a tooth in my mouth, but I finished that yesterday and no change. Any ideas for me?

You have to clarify puffiness of lid or face Kidney involvement puffiness of face is presenting symptom. In allergy along with lid conjunctiva will be in involved. Itching will be main problem. In infection from lid it will spread to conjunctiva with purulent dischargeand pain in both eye. You are requested to pacify on these line for probable diagnosis. How ever you may do kidney function test. Can start using antibiotic eye drop till diagnosis is final.
