What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding While On Birth Control Pills?

Started birth control 2 weeks ago and have been bleeding non stop since then. Taking them to reduce my periods and pains; it s not working at all. Should I stop taking the pill and just start back next month, or should I double up(take two pills a day). I d rather keep taking them because it helps with my PMS a lot! But bleeding and cramping 24/7 for two weeks straight isn t working for me, please help.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you should get done detailed hormone levels to rule out hormonal imbalance.
Birth control pills have fixed hormones.
Yoi are not improving despite taking birth control pills.
So you will need specific hormone pills according to the hormone report.
Once your hormones are normalize, your all symptoms will disappear.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Consult gynecologist and discuss all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
