What Causes Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding?

Hi I had an abortion at the end of January. I started my period in the middle of March and it lasted for 2 weeks I stopped then the next day started again. Today when i was done using the restroom when I wiped there was a big clot that wasnt a blood clot. I am really worried can you please help me understand what is going on. My normal period usually only last 3-4 days

Hi,
I understand your concern.
You had an abortion in January end. You had bleeding free 1.5 months ( which indicates the abortion to be complete) this was again followed by prolonged bleeding & a big clot...
It seems you had conceived after abortion in January--- which ended up in spontaneous abortion in March expelling the big clot you refer to.
You should get a clinical examination by a gynecologist/ USG pelvis to see weather the abortion is complete this time. If not you may have to get it surgically removed. After the abortion is complete, you should avoid sex for at least a month & get some breathing time to recover from two abortions.
Use of contraceptive is a wise step to be taken now.
