Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The symptoms mentioned by you- amenorrhea for log time followed by period of continuous bleeding is suggestive of menstrual irregularity.
Menstrual irregularities are most commonly caused by hormonal disturbances.
Treatment of hormonal disturbances is mainly conservative.
However, certain investigations are required before any treatment can be given.
Thus, clinical assessment, endometrial curretings or biopsy can be done to know the status of the endometrium.
I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for further workup.

Thanks and take care
