What Causes Prolonged And Heavy Vaginal Bleeding With Mucus Strings?

Hi! I ve been bleeding for about a week now first it started spotting then it was brown and then it has got heavier in the last two days. I am a 22 yr old with pcos I am not on b/c. Today I noticed my blood clots are mixed with a white string and jelly do you have any idea what that could be I m concerned. In September of 2014 I miscarried so is this something I should be worried about

Dear thanks for choosing HCM.

yes you need to be concerned, as blood loss is heavy and is prolonging. You may become anaemic. It could be endometriosis (inflammation of uterus lining) , infections (but you will have fever in infections) or an abortion (if you were pregnant). You can judge accordingly. But In all conditions you require to visit a gynaecologist urgently.

Physical examination, study of discharge , hormone analysis and ultrasound scan will help in diagnosis as well as in treatment. So visit a doctor, don't delay.
