What Causes Profuse Sweating With Rise In Bp?

Sometimes I sweat profusely and feel like I should lie down but it finally stops. I am a 67 year old female, 5'4", 235 pounds with pre-diabetes, take medication for high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol and several other medications and have extreme sleep apnea.

hai,
Strenuous physical activity and warm temperatures are the condition you will have excessive sweating.
You also sweat profusely as a result of a fever.

In hypertension (increased Blood pressure) normally doesn't sweat but in hypo tension(decrease in blood pressure) will have profuse sweating.

As you a BMI(body mass index) says you obese. obesity will also have profuse sweating.

As you have obesity, normal physical activity will cause you fatigue and become tired and body reflux to the condition will lead to profuse sweating.
addition to that in a condition like orthostatic hypotension (considerable fall in BP when in upright position) you feel the sweating along with dizziness etc.

Thank you
Hope i answered your query.
