What Causes Pressure And Feeling Of Blockage In Trachea?
Hi I feel a pressure or blockage in the trachea part of my chest. It feels like there is something stuck there but I can t cough it up. it has been like this for several days now. Earlier in October, I went to the doctor about chest constrictions but nothing came out of it and it eventually went away. Wondering what to do to explore what s happening. This is a new experience.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pressure and feeling of blockage in trachea which seems to be due to sever upper respiratory tract infection.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Take proper course of antibiotic Ciprofloxacin along with anti-inflammatory medications.
- Avoid intake of hot, spicy and sharp food.
- Avoid cold beverages and take small meals at a time. ] \ - You should maintain oral hygiene. Do warm saline gargles.
Visit ENT specialist/ pulmonologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. You should go for pulmonary function tests and X-ray test and start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
