What Causes Presence Of Blood In Stool?

My brother in law had a haemodialysis first time on last Thursday and so far 3 times the procedure is conducted. after second dialysis a medicine was given to him for some heart related issue (I am not sure for what reason), but after that he has complained of vomitting and nauseating sensation. Besides a blood in his stool was observed on two occassions (Blood doesn t seems to be the fresh blood). Doctors have conducted endoscopy and it came out to be negative. Today morning they are conducting colonoscopy. I am bit scared about it. Is it normal to have blood in stool? What could be the reasons? Please advise.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if it is the confirmed blood stain stool then the first possibility is it could be due to rectum lesion and may not be from the intestine so first it is better to see the rectum it could be fissures, hemorrhoid or other lesion some time it may not be blood it self but could be food related color of stool hope this information helps.
