What Causes Pregnancy Symptoms Post Depo Withdrawal?

I have been on the depo shot for over 7 years. I got off of it in 2013 and was pregnant by Sept 2013. I never had a period or period like symptoms before when I was on depo. I am now experiencing period like symptoms, and am wondering if it is different now because I had a baby, I am not sure what to think since this has never happened to me before.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Once the depo has been discontinued then your period would return. It should regulate itself after a few cycles however if it is irregular the use of oral contraceptives would help.

It is not uncommon to experience symptoms prior to and during a period. Symptoms may include fatigue, irritability, abdominal pain, back pain, breast tenderness, bloating.
The use of regular hormonal contraception may also help with the above symptoms.

I hope this helps
