What Causes Pounding Of The Heart And Headache?

I have some sort of flu and I had a 102.8 fever lastnight and I took some Tylenol and went to bed, 3 hours later I was woken up by my heart pounding very hard and very fast, I have an anxiety disorder and I obsess over my heart rate all the time I'm afraid of having a heart attack. I went to the ER over a year ago and got a EKG done and it came back normal, and I was in there for very fast heart rate as well. I laid back down and went to sleep for about 45 mins and I got woken up again with my heart pounding and fast and I had a bad headache and I could feel my heart beating in my teeth. Is there something wrong with me? Or am I just having way too much anxiety and being sick on top of that?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. You know that you have anxiety disorder. You had your EKG a year back and it was normal. Yesterday you had flu and temp was 102.8. You took Tylenol and went to sleep.

The panic attack you had while sleeping could be nocturnal panic attack just because you were anxious about the fever and flu. That happens with everyone. Obsession about heart beat always resounds around your head, jaw, neck and the chest itself.

Do consult your physician once again and you can confirm your health condition. Do not hesitate to visit ER.
