What Causes Poor Memory?

I am a 67 year old female and am beginning to forget things more often. I just read a review on phosphatidylserine and am interested in checking into using it. I've noticed quite a range in price when checking it out online. Would you recommend I give it a try and how do I determine if the less expensive one would be just as effective as the more expensive one?

I did not know there was a cost for this. I think I will wait and do more research myself. Please do not give me an answer if it involves a payment. Thank you.

1. Although mild forgetfulness could be part and parcel with advancing old age but could be a sign of more serious problem like mild cognitive impairment, dementia or Alzheimer's disease [progressive loss of brain cells]

2. Make sure to exclude hypothyroidism and Vitamin B12 deficiency which can mimic the symptoms of dementia with suitable investigations and take an appointment with a Medical specialist or Psychiatrist to discuss your problem, in the mean time:

- eat healthy diet which is low in processed food and sugar [ Apple, almond, banana, broccoli, cantaloupe, melon, carrot, cashew nut, corn, cauliflower, grapes, guava, lemon, mango, orange, pineapple, soybean, spinach have anti oxidant and detoxifying properties so take them in plenty
- get plenty of sleep, exercise and mental meditation
- Reduce stress
- take a brain supplement like phosphatidylserine which is a phospholipid and a component of cell membrane and is used for Alzheimer's disease, age-related decline in mental function, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, preventing exercise-induced stress, you can either order it online or it can be found in products like: cabbage, soy, meat, fish, white beans

PS. You may give it a try but first consult a certified nutritionist who will be in better position to let you know.
