What Causes Pins And Needles In Face/leg/foot While Having Labyrinthitis?

I have suffered an episode of imbalance, hearing loss (like when you fly) and impaired vision for two months. Diagnosed with labyrinthitis. Have recovered now after use of cortisone, but now I have very light pins and needles (almost not noticeble) in my face and some times on my leg or foot. Could this be MS? Also had raise blood sugar due to cortisone. I am a woman of 42.

Hi,
Most like its menieres disease.Meniere's disease is a disorder of the inner ear that causes episodes in which you feel like spinning (vertigo), and you have fluctuating hearing loss with a progressive, ultimately permanent loss of hearing, ringing in the ear (tinnitus), and sometimes a feeling of fullness or pressure in your ear. In most cases, Meniere's disease affects only one ear.
So classic feature of menieres are
Sensorinual hearing looss
Vertigo
Tinnitus

Aural fulness.

You are not having labyrinthitis. All your symptoms points towards menieres.A thoruough investigation should be done as menieres is disease of exclusion.Test advice are -
1-A hearing test (audiometry) assesses how well you detect sounds at different pitches and volumes and how well you distinguish between similar-sounding words.

2-Vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMP) testing

3-Caloric test of inner ears

Treatment consist of low sodium diet along with diuretic
tablet stemetil and ativan acn be taken for verigo off and on as per your depand.

advice
please go for a MRI brain and consult a neurotologist.
Secondly no locally given hydrocortisone does not increase the levels of blood sugars.

Go to a a neurotologist for complete investigations.
