What Causes Pins And Needles Along With Numbness In Legs?
I have had pins and needles and feelings of numbness mainly in my legs but sometimes elsewhere in my body for over a year now. Two MRI scans and other tests (lyme, B12 deficiancy) have showed nothing so far. I get headaches, dizzyness, flickering in the eyes as well. A lot of MS like symptoms. Everyday I feel like this and nobody knows what s wrong with me. Some doctors say it s probably due to stress but I don t feel particularly stressed either. It is exhausting. I have also had gut problems since my mid 20s (I am 46 now) and I have recently discovered through following the Paleo diet that I am gluten sensitive as my IBS symptoms have eased (although tests don t show I am gluten intolerant). I have read a lot in the past year and am now convinced that my gut issues are attacking my nervous system and this is what causes the neuropathy. So I am heavily focussing on healthy nutrition and taking extra supplements etc. I am anxious if it isn t stopped that the neuropathy will turn into a more serious disease and leave me disabled or worse. I would appreciate your thoughts on this. Thank you very much.
