What Causes Pinprick Pain In The Neck And Shoulder Blade?

Hello, for the past month, I have had minor cold-like symptoms, ranging from sore throat to sinus congestion, and headaches. However, more recently, I have been experiencing pinprick-like pain in my neck and left shoulder blade. I am curious as to whether or not this may be being caused by something other than a cold. I am an eighteen year old male, 6'2", 220 lbs, and have no serious medical history.
