What Causes Pink Vaginal Spotting And Abdominal Cramps Before Menstruation?

HELLO, ON 10/27, (11 DAYS BEFORE MY PERIOD IS DUE), I BEGAN HAVING MILD CRAMPING, VERY TOLERABLE UNLIKE MY NORMAL MENUSTRUAL CRAMPS . LATER IN THE AFTERNOON, I WENT TO THE BATHROOM AND VOIDED, WHEN I WIPED, THE TOILET TISSUE WAS PINK! (I WAS VERY EXCITED BECAUSE MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN TRYING SINCE 2009 TO HAVE A THIRD CHILD, THIS IS THE SAME YEAR I STOPPED THE DEPO PROVERA SHOT. ) THE PINK DISCHARGE WAS VERY SHORT LIVED, ONLY A DAY, NOT CONSISTENT, ON AND OFF FOR A DAY. THEN THE CRAMPING SUBSIDED AND THE PINK DISCHARGE WAS NO LONGER. WELL, A DAY OR SO AFTER THAT, I BEGAN TO HAVE FREQUENT SOFT BOWEL MOVEMENTS, EVERYDAY, 2-3 TIMES A DAY!!!!!! THIS LASTED FOR 4 OR 5 DAYS, NOTHING HAD CHANGED IN MY DIET WHATSOEVER, I M A NIGHT SHIFT NURSE, SO MY EATING IS VERY MINIMUM DURING THE DAY BECAUSE I M SLEEPING. BUT THESE FREQUENT, VERY SMELLY (LIKE BABY POOP) BMs WERE MOST DEFINITELY UNUSUAL, MY NORM IS EVERY 2-3 DAYS, ONE DURING THAT DAY. ALSO, I WILL HAVE NAUSEA AND WILL VOMIT SPORADICALLY, I EVEN VOMITTED IMMEDIATELY AFTER MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE SEXUAL INTERCOURSE!!! AGAIN VERY STRANGE!!! WELL, YESTERDAY I BEGAN HAVING INTENSE CRAMPING (NORMAL MENSTRUAL CRAMPS), I STARTED SPOTTING AGAIN, THEN IT SLOWED, I WENT TO SLEEP, I STARTED BLEEDING A LOT MORE THAN SPOTTING, LIKE A PERIOD AND YET IT S STILL 4 DAYS BEFORE MY PERIOD!!! THE BLEEDING IS STARTING TO SLOW UP, BUT IT S COLOR WENT FROM LIGHT PINK SPOTTING TO RED. COULD I STILL BE PREGNANT? WHY ALL OF THESE UNUSUAL S/SX WEEKS AND DAYS BEFORE MY PERIOD?

Hi
thank you for posting your question on healthcare magic.
From your symptoms, it could be both a very early pregnancy or an early period.
The pinkish discharge could have been implantation bleeding which infrequently turns red and moderately heavy but it does stop within 2-3 days.
However if the bleeding is continuing it could still be very early pregnancy and you need to be careful until you get a negative jome pregnancy test.
Speaking of which, you may take one a few days after your supposed due date of periods.
Having said that, it could also be your periods. Our cycle tends to fluctuate sometimes with fluctuations in hormones so this could also be simple menstruation. The nausea and vomitting could be associated with PMS too.
You need to be cautious and take a home pregnancy test like I advised earlier on.
If your symptoms continue to worsen but you get a negative home pregnancy test, get a serum beta hcg level done.
Hope this helps with your situation.
Thank you for visiting healthcare magic.
