What Causes Pink Vaginal Discharge?

I just wiped after urinating and there s like a purplish pink discharge coming out of my vagina or could it possibly just be the very start of my period from what I remember it usually always starts out bright red is that correct if the blood is always bright red until the end also my period is 2 weeks late
