Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello! I would like to ask if it is normal to experience very light pink discharge 12 days after my first day of period. I believe that it is because of the ovulation but it happened to me quite a few times during the last months. I am also experiencing mild pain and sometimes cramps in my breasts and in the lower abdomen area. Do you think this is also due to the ovulation?
Your assumption about ovulation is true. During ovulation, pink vaginal discharge can occur, as the small vessels are quite affected by the hormonal state and this is a very normal thing when happens.
Furthermore, you might experience cramps in breasts and lower abdominal area due to the effects of hormones during ovulation.
Also, birth control pills may cause the same thing.
My advice is first not to worry and secondly if you can see a gynecologist it would be fine. As a woman, you must take care of your health by doing once or twice a year a gynecological check-up, especially if a sexual active woman.
I hope this was helpful for you. Dr.Albana
