What Causes Pink Spots On Labia?

I had protected sex for the first time in 2 years a week ago. About two days later I started having pain and it hurt when I peed. I just thought it was irritation from not having sex in so long so thought nothing of it. Then a few nights later I realized it still shouldn t be bothering me so I got a mirror out and looked. I saw pink spots on both sides of my labia and some were larger than the others. I do shave and noticed the large sores are in the area that was irritated after I shaved the day I had sex. Today, I went to get it looked at. It s Saturday and no women s clinics were open so I went to an urgent care that does STD testing. The doctor told me she thinks it s a bacteria infection and folliculitis and gave me a prescription. She also sent a swab sample to get testes for Herpes and chlamydia. It hasn t been long enough for the meds to start kicking in and I m making myself paranoid googling herpes vs folliculitis. Can you help ease my mind while I wait for results???

Hello dear
Understand your concern.
I think it is folliculitis along with vaginitis due to infection or rough sex as you did after long time.
Herpes lesion is very painful and it cause blister formation.

Following are the other causes:
Vulvovaginitis, Urethritis, STDs: Gonorrhea, chlamydia, Contact dermatitis

Treatment are as follow
Wash your vagina with concentrated salt water whenever you feel the itch.
Antibacterial/fungal talcs: apply candid powder
Keeping The Vagina Dry (Not wet, clean well)
Also take antibiotic
You should use following single dose treatment:

1. AZEE 1000 mg (AZITHROMYCIN)
2. TINI 1 G (TINIDAZOLE)
3. ZOCON 150 mg (FLUCONAZOLE)

Don't scratch are
Avoid scented pads or toilet paper, and douches
Use a vaginal moisturizer
Use water and a plain soap to regularly clean your external genital area once/twice daily
Wipe from front to back after urination
Wear pure cotton loose panties and change every day.
Use condoms during sexual intercourse.
Apply a water-based lubricant before having sex.

Hope this may help you
